Among his business activities during the past years are financial advisory and fund arranging for medium to large corporations such as a 5 star hotel and resort, manufacturing companies, and mass housing development projects. He is also in the lending business specializing to loans to OFWs. He is also actively selling both commercial and residential real estate properties both to individuals and real estate developers.

In the past decade, he has sold different types of small to medium size businesses. His most recent transaction was the sale of a Philippine development bank to a large Asian microfinance conglomerate. He was until recently an independent director of a Digital Bank and was Chairman of the Audit Committee.

Nando has been involved in government service in the past years. He was formerly a Member of the Board of Directors of the now known Philippine Guaranty Corporation, a government financial institution under the Department of Finance. He was actively involved in the deliberations and approvals of commercial loans and guarantees across industries like mining, hotels and resorts, large agro- industrial, infrastructure projects, tollways, airports, IT, call center, and power projects with loan amounts ranging from Php100 million to Php5 billion. He was also Director of the John Hay Management Corporatin, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority and was Chairman of the Business Development Committee.
